CAG raps UP govt over diversion of funds allocated for Bundelkhand and Purvanchal
The comptroller and auditor general has rapped Uttar Pradesh government for allegedly diverting funds of over Rs 330 crore allocated for Bundelkhand and Purvanchal regions to other developmental schemes in the state.
Between 2004 and 2009, an expenditure of Rs 2481.90 crore, under ‘Purvanchal and Bundelkhand Vikas Nidhi’ was incurred on augmenting infrastructural facilities, of which Rs 330.71 crore were diverted to other projects, the report stated.
