Bundelkhand Mahila Sakh Sahkarita Maryadit (BMSS)
Bundelkhand Mahila Sakh Sahkarita Maryadit (BMSS) is an
organization, known to work for the upliftment of self-employed women workers of
the unorganized sector, who evidently hail from the marginalized communities. In
1994, Indore Unit of BMSS initiated to work for the women Beedi workers of the
Bundelkhand region of MP, known for the acute poverty and the feudal society.
The initial survey works were done in the districts of Chhatarpur, Sagar and
Damoh. Subsequently from the year 1995, they facilitated issuing Identity Cards
to the women Beedi workers of these three districts to link them with various
government programmes and to bring these women under a social security net.
