Success Story of Water from Sun Project in Bundelkhand
Majora, a remote village in Madhya Pradesh, India, has no access to clean
drinking water or electricity. An unhygienic open well, the only source of water
supply for the village, dries up in summer. The NGO called Haritika intervened
and created a source of water approximately 2 km away to improve the situation.
Haritika contacted Sunlit Future to find a solution to using solar energy to
pump water for the village and remove the drudgery for the villagers.
Sunlit Future, overcame technological and geological challenges to pump water
creating a major social impact on the lives by using Solar Energy. This is a
short documentary of that work.
