(News) UP Govt sanctions Rs 91 crore to strengthen medical education in Bundelkhand
Lucknow: In a bid to strengthen the medical education department in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government has sanctioned additional Rs 91.91 crore.
Medical Education minister Lalji Varma said, "To improve medical education system, to impart training to officers and employees and their accommodation facilities the state government has decided to sanction an additional fund."
He said that to provide free medical education to people living below poverty line, Antyodaya card holders and destitutes, the government will spend over Rs 50 lakh and added, "To set up a medical college in Banda district a provision of Rs 20 lakh has been made."
