Congress leader demanded resignation from Naseemuddin Siddiqui on moral grounds

MLA and former minister Vivek Singh has sought an appointment with chief
minister Mayawati to discuss rampant corruption that plagues all development
projects undertaken in Bundelkhand. In a letter addressed to Mayawati on
Wednesday, Singh pointed out two recent incidents which show shoddy construction
work in his constituency alone.
While a month ago, newly constructed building of Banda Medical College gave way,
the link bridge between Kanpur and Banda over Yamuna river also cracked on
Wednesday. The bridge, he said, was inaugurated on October 18 by PWD minister
Naseemuddin Siddiqui. This apart, the Banda-Bahraich Marg which was funded by
World Bank has already become dilapidated and has broken off in patches and even
UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi had pointed out this fact.
