Wanted Bandit Shankar Kol Gunned Down in the Markundi Forest Area, UP

A bandit wanted in several cases including murder and abduction was gunned down by police in a forested area of Uttar Pradesh's Chitrakoot district Tuesday, an official said.

Shankar Kol, 32, was shot dead in the Markundi forest area. But five-six of his accomplices escaped. The dead man primarily operated in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
