Bundelkhand Package curtailed to Rs. 4,400 Crore

The cabinet committee on economic affairs on Thursday approved special package of Rs. 4,400 crore for implementing drought mitigation measures in Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. However, the amount has been slashed from Rs. 7,266 crore given to the region for a period of three years in 2009.
