(NEWS) Budelkhand Railway Stations selected for Modernisation by Ministry of Railways
News : Modernisation of Railway Stations in Uttar Pradesh
In order to bring about perceptible improvement in the “Touch and Feel’ items, 67 railway stations in the state of Uttar Pradesh have been selected for modernization. These are; Achnera, Agra Cantt., Agra Fort, Aligarh Jn., Amethi, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Badshah Nagar, Bahraich, Ballia,
Banda, Bareilly, Bareilly City, Basti, Belthra Road, Chandauli, Chitrakutdham
Karvi, Deoria Sadar, Dildarnagar, Etawah, Faizabad, Farukhabad, Fatehpur, Firozabad, Gazipur city, Ghaziabad, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Hapur, Hardoi, Idgah, Jaunpur Jn.,
Jhansi, Kanpur Central, Khalilabad, Khurja Jn, Kosikalan, Lakhimpur, Lalitpur, Lucknow (NR), Lucknow City, Lucknow Jn., (NER), Mahoba,. Manduadih, Mathura, Mathura Cantt., Mau Jn., Meerut City, Mirzapur, Moradabad, Mughal Sarai, Naini, Orai, Prayag, Rai-Bareilly, Raja ki Mandi, Rampur, Renukoot, Saharanpur, Salempur, Shahjanhanpur, Sitapur, Sultanpur, Unnao, Varanasi and Vindhyachal.
Minimum essential amenities at railway stations have already been provided. Further augmentation of passenger amenities at station commensurate with increase in passenger traffic/earnings is a continuous process and is undertaken through annual works programme depending upon availability of funds and other relative priorities.
